Beachy wall art rope coastal DIY upcycle beach decor shells easy

Easy-peasy-beachy wall art

If you were struggling to conjure up a coastal art masterpiece, look no further. Because I have a DIY for you so easy that you don’t even need to read how to do it.

What you need:
Random ugly art with frame or make one yo’self
Rope or Burlap fabric
Shells
Paint (optional)

Steps:
1. Take that ugly painting with the decent frame and lay it flat on the ground or table
2. Take the rope and cover the art line by line with super glue. I did this horizontally because I was going for a landscape layout. You can do this vertical or diagonal, any way you like. Laying a burlap fabric instead would be time-saving. I didn’t have one handy.
3. Stick your shells and place them aesthetically and you’re done.
4. Oh, and you can choose to color your frame. Mine was white already and it matches with my home ‘aesthete’.

Where did I hang mine and why?

I needed art to draw up the eye upwards and away from the mess. Plus, the horizontal lines broaden the narrow area. Second, there was nothing beachy about my kitchen. Now, no longer.

Hope you liked this easy-peasy-beachy wall art idea. This is also a great gifting idea for a friend who is all about the coastal vibes. I would love to see if you do make it. Follow me on Instagram and share a click. It’ll make my day if you do.
